Terms of Membership

These Terms of Membership (the “Terms”) govern the relationship between you and Velours (“Velours”, “we”, “us”), the operator of an invitation-only members’ club in the Emirate of Dubai. By requesting access, accepting an invitation, or attending an event, you agree to these Terms.
1. Membership is by invitation
Velours is private and invitation-only. Membership is granted entirely at our discretion and may be declined without reason. Membership is personal to you, non-transferable, and confers no ownership, shareholding, or proprietary interest in Velours or its premises.
2. Nominations and referrals
If you nominate or refer another person for membership or as a guest, you are accountable for those you nominate. You vouch for their conduct, and any breach of these Terms by a person you brought in may affect your own standing as a member.
3. Events, tickets and house rules
- Event tickets are issued to a named member and are non-transferable unless we expressly permit otherwise.
- Admission to any event is subject to capacity, dress, and our discretion at the door.
- No phones on the dance floor. We ask that you respect the privacy of other members; photography and filming may be restricted at any time.
- Persistent no-shows for events you have reserved may result in the loss of future access.
4. Payment obligations
Access fees, event charges, and any amounts due at the door are payable as communicated to you, by card or cash as applicable. Card payments are processed by our payment provider. You are responsible for settling all sums owed; unpaid balances may result in suspension of access until cleared.
5. Code of conduct
Members and their guests are expected to behave with discretion and courtesy. We have no tolerance for harassment, intimidation, intoxication that endangers others, illegal conduct, or any behaviour that compromises the privacy, safety, or reputation of Velours, its members, or its staff.
6. Suspension, revocation and ban
We may suspend, revoke, or permanently ban any membership at our sole discretion, including for breach of these Terms, conduct we consider unacceptable, or to protect the club and its members. Revocation does not entitle you to a refund of access fees already paid (see our Refund & Cancellation Policy).
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Velours is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, for loss or damage to personal property on the premises, or for the acts of other members or guests. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to members, and continued use of your membership after a change constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, and you submit to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dubai.
